After nearly twenty years employed in State Government in Adelaide, in 2016 Stephen and his family decided that Kangaroo Island is the perfect place for their young kids to grow up. His lovely wife Sarah (nee Bell) had grown up here, so it was a coming-home for her.
Stephen brings a diverse range of IT, photography and administrative skills to Kangaroo Island, he has managed to adapt quickly and integrate into the Radio station team, offering his strengths and knowledge willingly. He is looking forward to contributing more to the community.
Programes: Eclectic mix of pop music, Fridays 10am - 12
I have recently moved to KI to work at Hanson Bay Wildlife sanctuary. Apart from being a musician I am a huge wildlife enthusiast (massive arachnid and reptile nerd) and conservationist and hope to incorporate these interests into a radio show with 5KIx FM.
I have been playing my original music and travelling for many years now and have played in USA, Europe and Asia. Travel has always been a part of my life and I love getting involved with the community wherever I end up. Presenting on and being involved with community radio is something I really enjoy and I can't wait to get to know the people and places of KI.

I was born in Calcutta, moved to Australia in the mid-60s. I was a Drama teacher before working for the SA Film Corporation then a filmmaker and education consultant in remote central Australia. I’ve performed on stage and in cabaret as an actor and singer. I’ve always loved film and film music - studied both at university. I’ve been the President of Enterprising Women SA; Executive Chair of Women In Power - Port Adelaide Football Club; and Clerk of the Course of the Coonawarra Guinea Pig Racing Association (yep, you read that right). I’m currently a member of the Calvary (Mary Potter) Hospice and Hospital Auxiliary Committee.
Bought the property at Middle River in 1999, moved over permanently last November. I have a son, Aaron, who lives in Brisbane with his partner Ana, and two grandchildren Charlee & Max. And, don’t tell Geoff, but I’m sure that Ralph Fiennes is the sexiest man on the planet…
